Giving Tuesday

GivingTuesday is December 2!

Support Monmouth Council and help shape tomorrow’s leaders. Every gift fuels character, adventure, and service.

GivingTuesday is a Global Day of Generosity held each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It provides nonprofits with a powerful opportunity to inspire philanthropy, mobilize supporters, and generate significant fundraising momentum during the holiday season. For Scouting America, GivingTuesday serves as a chance to amplify local council initiatives as well as raise dollars for our high adventure bases, Order of the Arrow, NESA, and other national programs.

Our youth today face many challenges on their path to becoming productive participating citizens. Scouting America builds positive character in young people and helps them navigate the path to adulthood.

Monmouth Council continues to make the Promise of Scouting available to more than 4,500 youth and their families in our area. This year more than 1,500 Scouts attended summer camp at Forestburg Scout Reservation and Quail Hill Scout Reservation. Whether it was a week-long Boy Scout camp or a Cub Scout Day Camp, the experiences they had and the new friends they met will impact them throughout their lifetime.

As the year draws to a close, we need your continued support to fuel Scouting’s important mission of building character, instilling citizenship and encouraging physical fitness. Today more than ever, Scouting has so much to teach young people about personal responsibility, kindness and service for the common good. It is through our programs, summer camps and community service projects that the magic of character development happens. We need your help to make this happen!
