Skilled Trades Week 2026

July 28 through July 31

This life-experience program will enable our council to deliver an extraordinary program for Scouts who are interested in learning from experts in their trades.  

Tuesday, July 28 and Thursday, July 30 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 9. Located at 2 Iron Ore Rd @ Route 33, Englishtown, NJ 07726

Wednesday, July 29 Railroad merit badge will be at Quail Hill Scout Reservation, 57 LaValley Dr, Manalapan Township for Railroad merit badge. 

Friday the prgram will be held at Brookdale Community College, 765 Newman Springs Rd, Lincroft NJ 07738 for 

Automotive Maintenance merit badge. 

Merit Badges that are offered are

  • Plumbing 
  • Welding
  • Automotive Maintenance @ Brookdale Community College 
  • Railroad

 

Cost: $360 per youth participant.

Frequently Asked Questions

Scouting Registration: All Participants must be actively registered in a Scout's BSA Troop or Venturing Crew.

Age Requirements: All Participants must be between 13 and 17 years of age by the FIRST day of the event.

Transportation is not provided.
